PLABable is a commercial online question bank for PLAB candidates. This site is not affiliated with PLABable and does not rate it. Features, prices and question counts change, so this page shows you how to judge any bank, including PLABable, using the provider’s own current information.
Questions to ask before paying
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Are explanations based on current UK guidance (NICE, BNF, Resus Council)? | Old explanations teach non-UK management |
| Are questions in the single-best-answer style used in PLAB 1? | Format practice helps timing |
| Can you filter by topic and review your weak areas? | Targeted revision saves weeks |
| Is there a free trial or refund policy? | Test it on 30 questions first |
| Does it say where questions come from? | Avoid anything that claims to contain real exam questions: sharing them is misconduct |
How to use any question bank well
- Do questions in timed blocks of 20 to 40, mixed topics, to copy exam conditions.
- After every block, read the explanation for every option, including the ones you got right.
- Write one line for each error: the guideline, the first-line drug or the trap. Review the lines weekly.
- Use a bank as a test of what you know; learn the content from NICE and your books.
