Online communities are where many PLAB candidates find encouragement, partners and practical tips. They also contain rumours, advertisements and, sometimes, scams. This site cannot vouch for any particular group or subreddit, and we do not post private invitation links.
How to find groups
- Search Reddit for the PLAB-related subreddit (for example r/PLABprep) and read the pinned rules before posting.
- Ask in our community forum, where posts are moderated, and in the PLAB 1 preparation and PLAB 2 preparation categories.
- For WhatsApp or Telegram groups, join only through an invitation from a person or page you trust.
Rules for staying safe
| Do | Do not |
|---|---|
| Use groups to find a study partner and share study tips | Share or ask for exam questions: it can breach GMC rules; see recalls |
| Check dates and fees on the GMC site | Treat any date or rule posted in a group as fact |
| Keep payments to well-known providers with receipts | Send money, passports or GMC passwords to a stranger |
| Mute groups during study blocks | Compare scores constantly: it harms confidence |
